INSWISS
Project Overview
inSwiss is a mobile application designed to support newcomers and immigrants arriving in Switzerland. The platform helps users understand the Swiss system: healthcare, education, employment, taxes as well as cultural norms, everyday habits, and regional opportunities.
The app uses a tailored onboarding questionnaire to adapt content to each user’s background, language, and needs, offering a personalized and welcoming first experience of life in Switzerland.
Problem & Insight
Every year, thousands of people settle in Switzerland, often facing the same challenges:
limited access to clear, multilingual information
difficulties navigating complex administrative procedures
misunderstandings of local cultural norms and everyday expectations
feeling isolated due to lack of knowledge about local opportunities, events, or rules
Our key insight: Most newcomers do not struggle with willingness to integrate, but with fragmented information scattered across different websites, institutions and languages.
They need a single, accessible, and personalized entry point.
Solution
inSwiss centralizes essential information and offers a simple, human-centered user experience tailored to each newcomer’s profile.
From key administrative steps to cultural tips and regional recommendations, the app empowers users to integrate confidently and independently.
Through an intelligent onboarding system (native language, residence permit, family situation, interests, priorities), the app dynamically adapts content, ensuring that each user receives only what is relevant to their context.
Why inSwiss Matters
The project aims to create a smoother, more empowering integration journey for newcomers.
By combining accurate information, personalization and a culturally mindful design, inSwiss acts as a bridge between newcomers and Swiss society, helping them feel informed, welcomed, and supported.
